IDEP Impact

Lebanon

Through their long-term project, “cash for work”, Annas Linnas is contributing towards the social stabilization of the Lebanese host communities and improving the living conditions of the vulnerable Lebanese and Syrian refugees in Mount Lebanon region. The project is also geared towards increasing the income of the Syrian refugees and of the vulnerable Lebanese and their families; as well as promoting social cohesion. During the period of October, Fr. Abdo Raad communicated with End Child Poverty on the needs of both the refugee communities (from Syria, Iraq, Palestine and Afghanistan) and the Lebanese host communities, thus raising awareness on their plight and that of the children. Lebanon currently has the highest per-capita concentration of refugees, worldwide.
