The Global Network of Religion for Children Romania commemorated the International Day for Eradication of Poverty 2018 with a series of events. On the 12th October 2018 – the team had a meeting with teachers with the aim of promoting their project for teachers from their community with focus on sharing best prac-tices of youth initiatives on eradication of child poverty.
Between 17th—25th October 2018, the team conducted 12 work-shops in schools from Bucharest, Reghin, Bistrita Nasaud county, Dambovita county, Bacau county, and Brasov county. And on the 20th October 2018 the team understood a charitable initiative (donations campaigns in their schools, volunteering, humanitari-an activities: trips for poor children). The aims and objectives of the initiatives was to educate new teachers on the importance of eradicating child poverty in the country, listen to children’s voices.considering their opinions on poverty and their solution to eradicate poverty, empower teachers and children to involve themselves in the project and develop children social responsibil-ity and their abilities to design and implement social projects.
