Umbrella for the Vulnerable, a member of the Global Network of Religions for Children in Rwanda commemorated the International Day for the Eradication of Poverty 2018 by gathering 100 children in the Kigabiro sector, district of Rwamagana, Eastern province of Rwanda where different activities took place such as: prayer for children; listening to children; and discussions on child poverty.

Different clerics from different faiths and some experts on children matters were invited to conduct and follow the activities. Among others, the 100 children benefited from the Insurance Health Scheme where they will get access to health facilities all over the country for the period of one year which is 2018-2019. We encourage such initiatives as they positively affect the lives of children.
