Arigatou International – Nairobi officially launched

The Arigatou International – Nairobi office was officially launched on 17th October 2013 on the occasion of the International Day of Eradication of Poverty. UNICEF Kenya Country Representative Mr. Marcel Rudasingwa, who was representing the Regional Director Mr. Steven Allen, led other guests in the formal launch of Arigatou International – Nairobi.

Present for this occasion were Millennium Development Goals Campaign Coordinator Mr. Charles Abugre Akelyira, United Nations Women Country Director Ms. Zebib Kavuma, religious leaders and representatives from non-governmental organizations.

The Arigatou International – Nairobi office serves as the secretariat of the Global Network of Religions for Children (GNRC), with Dr. Mustafa Y. Ali as GNRC Secretary General. It will also be home to the Interfaith Initiative to End Child Poverty, which was proposed at the GNRC Fourth Forum in Dar es Salaam, Tanzania in June 2012 and formally launched in Nairobi in November 2013, with Rev. Fred Nyabera as Director.

The Arigatou International – Nairobi office is located at Crawford Business Park, State House Road in Nairobi.

Other offices of Arigatou International are located in Geneva, Switzerland (for the Interfaith Council on Ethics Education for Children) and in New York, USA (for the World Day of Prayer and Action for Children). Arigatou International’s headquarters are in Tokyo.
