End Child Poverty launches a children’s and youth essay contest to mark the International Day for the Eradication of Poverty (IDEP).

Young people around the globe have been invited, through the Global Network of Religions for Children (GNRC), to present creative solutions to address child poverty in their communities. The contest winners in both categories – children and youth – each stand a chance to win a cash award of $ USD 500 (five hundred US dollars), and the runners-up could each earn up to $ USD 250 (two hundred and fifty US dollars). This essay contest commemorates the International Day for the Eradication of Poverty (IDEP) and is part of the many innovative projects supported by End Child Poverty, with a special focus on children. The deadline for submission of essays has been extended to 25th September 2014.
