Arigatou International – End Child Poverty in partnership with the Norwegian Church aid, through the Regional Peace Programme will host the Youth In Action forum between 12th – 17th July 2021 in Nairobi, Kenya.
The forum will focus on respect for others in diversity by attempting to identify challenges facing Freedom of Religion or Belief (FoRB)/social cohesion and conflict transformation in communities, under the theme; Mobilising Communities Towards Social Cohesion and FoRB.
Youth In Action will gather over 25 diverse young leaders from Ethiopia, Kenya, Somalia, South Sudan, Sudan, Tanzania and Uganda, in a five-day forum plentiful of training, storytelling, experience sharing followed up with practical actions geared towards promoting Social Cohesion in communities.
Youth In Action is a network of peace builders, comprising of youth and young influencers from 12 countries in the Horn of Africa and East Africa Region. They include: Burundi, Djibouti, Democratic Republic of Congo, Ethiopia, Eritrea, Kenya, Rwanda, Somalia, South Sudan, Sudan, Tanzania and Uganda.
