Beyond Zero Campaign

Beyond Zero Campaign held a Half Marathon this past weekend, spearheaded by the First Lady of Kenya, Margaret Kenyatta, with the aim of raising funds to support zero preventable child deaths, zero maternal deaths and zero new HIV infections.

The marathon brought together members of the public, media houses, philanthropists, civil society and the international community.

Funds raised were designated to buy mobile clinics to uplift the health standards of children and mothers, primarily from rural Kenya. This First Lady’s Initiative aims to ensure policy prioritization, resource mobilization and  improved service  delivery for mothers and children; as well as advocacy in related matters, including dissuading communities against harmful cultural practices such as Female Genital Mutilation/ Cutting (FGM/C).

Beyond Zero Campaign is an example of leaders advocating and taking action towards  ending child poverty, through provision of essential health services.

As End Child Poverty, we are commited to this cause through our related campaign to implement and realise the Sustainable Development Goals. Learn more about our campaigns here and join the conversation on
