Post 2015 Development Agenda and Sustainable Development Goals
The best interests of children must be included in the design and implementation of the Sustainable Development Goals and all other work to eradicate poverty.
International Day of Peace
Peace is built by human beings, and human beings are built from their hearts.
Rev. Takeyasu Miyamoto, founder of Arigatou International
The International Day of Peace is marked on 21 September, every year, all over the world. We use this date as an opportunity to remind the world that conflict affects children in the most and worst way. The General Assembly has declared this as a day devoted to strengthening the ideals of peace, both within and among all nations and peoples. We support and coordinate common actions in collaboration with our partners.
International Day for the Eradication of Poverty
"Poverty is the worst form of violence"- Mahatma Gandhi.
In all we do, End Child Poverty seeks to create a world free of child poverty. We therefore organise, support and coordinate numerous campaign actions during the month of October and specifically on the 17 October, every year, the International Day for the Eradication of Poverty.
World Day of Prayer and Action for Children
The World Day of Prayer and Action is observed on the Universal Children's Day, 20 November, each year. On that day and within the month of November, End Child Poverty works closely with its sister initiative, Prayer and Action for Children, to plan and implement relevant campaign actions.
